The Clinical Nurse provides care in the home and/or at the ambulatory infusion suite for skilled nursing assessment and nursing care with focus on IV therapy. Main activities include administration of parenteral medications, patient educations, IV catheter maintenance and lab draws.
Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. All performance expectations associated with this position are performed at the PRACTITIONER Level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
RN License issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years RN exp in Infusion Suite/Home infusion and or infusion RN experience.
Demonstrated experienced in IV starts and central line care.
Performs clinical skills in the home setting and in the Infusion Suite
- Four (4) years recent exp in Home Health or Home Infusion
- BSN.
- Willingness to obtain Oncology Nurse's Society Fundamentals of Chemotherapy certification.
- ACLS and/or ART.
- Knowledge of administration of biological agents and chemotherapy.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
- Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $59.34 - $83.17
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
